MIRPURKHAS: Scores of residents of Rajar Colony, Pak Colony and their adjacent localities staged a demonstration outside a private hospital on Umerkot Road near Adam Town on Thursday in protest against death of a woman during a ‘minor’ surgery allegedly due to doctors and paramedics’ negligence.
The protesters led by family members and relatives of the victim told media persons that the 22-year-old woman was undergoing a minor operation but careless, negligent and unprofessional doctors and paramedics led to her death.
They demanded the district’s director of health and district health officer should order an impartial inquiry into the incident and award punishment to the accused.
The hospital staff declined to comment on the incident when media persons contacted them.
