KARACHI: The Election Commission of Pakistan on Wednesday issued notices to two aspirants of the Pakistan Peoples Party, a town chairman and others for violating its code of conduct.

According to a statement, PPP candidates Tariq Shah Jamote (NA-218 Hyderabad-I) and Jam Khan Shoro (PS-60 Hyderabad-I) have been put on notice for setting up an election camp at Naseem Nagar Roundabout without permission.

The district monitoring officer concerned has also issued a notice to the Chanesar Town chairman Farhan Ghani, brother of PPP leader Saeed Ghani, over violation of the ECOl code, it added.

The statement further said that a fine of Rs50,000 has been imposed upon food department’s employee Akbar Lashari for presenting a gold crown to PPP candidate Nasfisa Shah in Khairpur.
