LAHORE: Istehkam-i-Pakistan Party (IPP) President Abdul Aleem Khan has said the youth is the real capital, but it was “misled for political purposes” in recent years, pledging his party will use all resources to generate employment for the young.

Addressing a rally on Friday here in Shahdara that falls in his constituency (NA-117), Aleem regretted that Pakistan had fallen into the hands of “inexperienced” people and as a result of the 2018 elections the image of the country was “badly tarnished”.

He pledged that his party after coming into power would make Shadara a developed part of the city.

“Everyone, regardless of age, has abilities and talents that can be used to develop society,” he said.

On the occasion, a former tehsil nazim Rana Anwarul Haque and ex-chairman Ahmad Hasan announced support for Aleem Khan in the constituency and staged election-related rallies for him in Lajpat Road and Nain Sukh areas.

Meanwhile, the Awami National Party (ANP) Punjab Secretary General Ameer Bahadur Khanhas announced the party would support the IPP candidates across the province.

He announced this during a meeting with Aleem Khan.
