LOWER DIR: Pakistan Tahreek-i-Insaf-Parliamentarians (PTI-P) candidate for PK-16 and former provincial minister Muzafar Said has said that incomplete projects in the area will be completed if he is elected a lawmaker again.

He was addressing a corner meeting in Soghalay Talash. The gathering was also addressed by PTI-P leader Barrister Aurangzeb Khan, Shahab Utmani, Haji Rahimdad Khan, Haji Wali Rehman, Dr Naikzada and others. Several political workers on the occasion announced to support PTI-P in the upcoming general elections.

The former provincial minister said that several development projects like Talash bypass road, Timergara Medical College, establishment of degree colleges for boys and girls in Talash, which were initiated by him as a minister, remained incomplete during the last five years. Muzafar Said was defeated by PTI’s Malik Shafiullah Khan in the 2018 general elections.

He said that PTI-P leader Pervez Khattak would be the next chief minister of the province. He said that work on the much-awaited Gopalum irrigation channel would be started once PTI-P came to power in the province.

Meanwhile, PTI-P candidate for PK-14 retired Brigadier Saeedullah Khan demanded of the government to take notice of inflated gas bills and provide relief to consumers.

Talking to journalists in Timergara, he said that poor consumers were unable to pay their gas bills. He said that poor had no option but to disconnect their gas connections.

NURSES: Director General Health Services Dr Shaukat Ali has lauded the role of nurses and termed them backbone of the whole health sector.

He was addressing a function at a private nursing college in Timergara on Tuesday. The district health officer, Dr Irshad Rughani, and principal of the college Naeemullah also addressed the event.

Dr Shaukat said that all available resources were being utilised for improving service delivery at public sector healthcare units. He said that classes at Timergara Medical College would be started in the current year. He said that a total of 150 nurses would also be trained at the college.
