“Palestinians are largely unsafe even in places they’ve been told to evacuate to,” Hani Mahmoud, Al Jazeera reports from Rafah, southern Gaza.

“Last night, air strikes hit the northern part of Rafah. A home there was targeted and destroyed. This killed at least 12 people including an entire family — a father, mother and their kids — sheltering in their home.

“Dozens of injured victims were sent to the European Gaza Hospital,” he added.

“At least seven more people, five belonging to the same family, were killed in southern Khan Younis. They were sheltering in a home that was targeted. Overnight, we could hear massive explosions from the air strikes,” Mahmoud reported.
