PML-N, National Party leaders discuss polls alliance

QUETTA: Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz and National Party leaders agreed on Monday to cooperate with each other in the upcoming general elections.

Sources said the two parties discussed electoral alliance and seat adjustment in Makran and other constituencies of Balochistan.

They decided to remain in close contact with each other in future for strengthening democracy and resolving issues of Balochistan.

Sources in the National Party said that a delegation, headed by Dr Malik Baloch, visited Jati Umrah and held a meeting with PML-N supreme leader Nawaz Sharif and PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif.

In the meeting which continued for an hour the leaders of the two political parties discussed political situation and upcoming general elections.

They explored the possibility of “close cooperation” in the election between the two parties.

“PML-N and NP also agreed to continue further talks in the coming days,” the sources said.
