SRINAGAR, Feb 26: Thousands of Shia Muslims held demonstrations for a third consecutive day on Saturday in occupied Kashmir to protest against the bombing of a shrine in Iraq, witnesses said.

The demonstrations were held in Balhama and other Shia-dominated parts of Srinagar.

“Death to Bush” and “Down with America and Israel,” shouted the protesters, mostly young men and boys, as they marched down Srinagar’s main road alongside the riot police.—AFP
