ISLAMABAD, Feb 24: The Pakistan Sports Board announced on Friday that the national contingent for next month’s Commonwealth Games in Melbourne will leave in two batches.

The first party out of a total strength of 76 including 22 officials will fly out on March 4 with the second leaving on the 11th.

The Games run from March 15 to 26 and the squad will return home on the 27th.

The contingent: (Officials): Lt.General Safdar Hussain (chef-de-mission), Kamran Lashari (general team manager), Col.Shujat Ali Rana (treasurer), Rizwanul Haq (administration officer), Dr.Waqar Ahmad (doctor), Kamran Midi (physiotherapist).

Athletics: Mohammad Khalid Mahmood (manager), Major Mahmood Riaz (coach), Mohammad Shah, Ashraf Ali, Mohammad Sajjad, Mohammad Arfan Hussain, Miss Parveen Akhtar, Miss Bushra Parveen.

Badminton: Syed Naqi Mohsin (manager), Wajid Ali Choudhry, Omer Zeeshan

Boxing: Syed Haroon Masood (manager), Reinaldo Alvarez Ulacia (coach), Mehrullah, M.Asghar Ali Shah, Abid Ali, Mohammad Nisar, Nouman Karim.

Cycling: Idrees Haider Khawaja (manager), Mohammad Saleem, Imran Sharif

Gymnastics: Parvaiz Ahmad, Syed Saif ud Din Ahmed.

Hockey: Mohammad Saeed Khan (manager), Mohammad Asif Bajwa (coach), Rana Mujahid Ali (coach), Dr. Riaz Ahmad (physiotherapist), Mohammad Saqlain (captain), Mudassar Ali Khan, Nasir Ahmed, Zeeshan Ashraf, Adnan Maqsood, Syed Imran Warsi, Tariq Aziz, Mohammad Adnan Zakir, Dilawar Hussain, Mohammad Imran, Salman Akbar, Shakeel Abbasi, Rehan Butt, Imran Khan Yousafzai, Mohammad Shabbir, Muddasar Khan.
