JOHANNESBURG, Feb 24: South Africa paceman Charl Langeveldt is out of the five-match series of One-day Internationals against Australia after he fractured a finger during fielding practice.

Langeveldt broke the index finger on his left hand on Thursday, Cricket South Africa said in a news release issued on Friday.

The 31-year-old, who broke his left hand last year, will undergo surgery in Cape Town on Tuesday.

Langeveldt’s replacement in the squad will be announced on Monday.

The first one-day international against world champions Australia is in Centurion on Sunday.
