KARACHI, Feb 24: The FPCCI’s proposed liaison office in Poland will promote Pakistan’s exports not only to European Union but also to Eastern Europe and Scandinavian countries.

Consul General of Poland in Karachi Irenusz Makles in a meeting with the members of Federation of Pakistan Chambers of Commerce and Industry here on Friday stated that the Polish government would extend full support and facilitation in setting up the liaison office.

“I have conveyed the FPCCI proposal to Polish Chamber of Commerce and the Ministry of Economy and they have assured all help to FPCCI in this regard,” the consul general informed the meeting.

He said that the Polish Consulate would be playing its due role in establishing the FPCCI trade office and its successful operation.

FPCCI president Ch Muhammad Saeed said that the trade office would start its working in June this year, says a press release of the FPCCI.

He said the chamber was planning to send a two-member fact finding mission to Poland by the end of April to assess the requirements for opening of the office there.

He said that the FPCCI would also approach the Polish Chamber for signing of cooperation agreement for boosting bilateral trade and setting up Pakistan-Poland Joint Business Council.—APP
