Published February 24, 2006

PESHAWAR, Feb 23: Peshawar Electricity Supply Company Chief Executive Brig Sakhi Marjan has directed officials of Pesco’s Khyber division to ensure recovery of dues in the current month and reduce line losses.

During a visit to the division, the Pesco chief directed the SDOs of Mattani, Tajabad, Landi Arbab and Dehbahadar to control line losses and enhance recoveries.

He warned that strict disciplinary action would be taken against SDOs and line superintendents who fail to check illegal connections in their jurisdictions.

Earlier, Pesco Khyber Division Executive Engineer Mir Hawas Khan told Brig Marjan that line losses in the division had been reduced by 2.3 per cent in January while the rate of recovery remained 83.5 per cent.—APP
