Abdullah Alwan, an audio commentator on the Midan page of Al Jazeera’s Arabic website, has been killed after an Israeli air attack targeted his family’s home in Jabalia, northern Gaza Strip, Al Jazeera said.
Alwan joined the Midan team after it was established in 2017, and his distinctive voice garnered him a large following over the years. He also contributed to audio commentary on a number of television programmes for Al Jazeera Media Network.
