ISLAMABAD: The government has appointed Dr Fareed Iqbal Qureshi as a Member Customs Operation to accelerate reforms and attract investment.

This appointment is part of the Special Investment Facilitation Council’s initiatives. Before this role, Dr Qureshi served as the secretary of the Trade Development Authority of Pakistan.

Ms Zeba Azhar Hai, who assumed the office of Member Customs Operation on July 12, has been reassigned as a member of the Federal Board of Revenue without a specific assignment.
