Wahab’s late strike earns a draw

KARACHI, Feb 20: Ali Wahab’s late equaliser helped Young Ansari force a 1-1 draw with Sindh Muslim in the KASB Premier League soccer at Sixteen Star ground on Sunday.

Shaukat Barohi gave Sindh Muslim a flying start with a goal in the opening minute of the game. Ali Wahab grabbed the equaliser in the 68th minute.

National Afridi scored their first win when they netted twice in the first half to defeat Sixteen Star 2-0.

Abrar Danish came into action in the 36th minute, while Murad Ali Shah doubled the lead with a 44th-minute strike.

Baloch Mohammadan Lyari edged past Malir National 2-1.

Shanawaz of Malir National found the target in the 14th minute before Tariq Taj, who was suspended for a match after his second yellow, levelled for Baloch Mohammadan in the 21st minute.

Kamran Iqbal of Baloch Mohammadan netted the second in the 38th minute. Mohammad Amin Jr of Malir National was red carded in the 65 minute.

Tanzeem Sports squeezed past Azam Nagar 2-1.

Asad Ashraf opened the account for Azam Nagar in the 15th minute before Tanzeem’s Arshad Hussain put the game on an even keel in the 25th minute. Mohammad Khan of Tanzeem slotted home the match-winner in the 68th minute.
