SWABI: The number of voters in Swabi has crossed the one million mark as 196,931 new voters have been registered in the district after the 2018 elections, officials in the election commission’s local office told Dawn here on Saturday.

They said there were 912,669 voters in Swabi for the 2018 elections, whose number has now increased to 1,109,600.

They said the number of male voters was 593,509 compared to 516,091 female voters.

Presenting the number of voters in different constituencies, the officials said that in NA-19, Swabi-I, the total number of registered voters was 551,703, including 256,759 women.

In NA-20, Swabi-II, the number of male voters was 298,565 and female 259,332.

The ECP officials said that there were total five provincial assembly constituencies in the district.

They said the number of total voters in PK-49, Swabi-1, was 206,874, including 95,824 women.

In PK-50, Swabi-2, the number of male voters was 125,736 and females 109,417, respectively Likewise, in PK-51, Swabi-3, the number of men and women voters stood at 116,094 and 102,347, respectively.

Similarly, of the total 372,234 voters in PK-52, Swabi-4, 103,694 were women voters.
