The UN’s office on human rights in Palestine has called for “international intervention” in Gaza as Israel’s bombardment has “intensified” and provision of life-saving humanitarian assistance has all but ceased“.

It states: “We have seen a barrage of attacks on residential and civilian structures, including hospitals, mosques, government buildings and schools across the Gaza Strip.”

The UN office further said that many Gazans were being “pushed further into smaller and smaller areas in Rafah without sanitation, access to food, water, shelter or health care”.
