LARKANA, Feb 19: University of Sindh Vice-Chancellor Mazharul Haq Siddiqui has said that a campus of the university will be opened in Larkana.

He was answering questions of journalists at a gathering here on Sunday. Mr Siddiqui hoped that which he said would go a long way in encouraging girl students to continue their studies.

He said pro-chancellor and Sindh Education Minister Dr Hamida Khuhro had talked to him in this regard and had told him that a summary for setting up the university branch in Larkana had been sent to the Sindh government.

He said the Institute of English Language and Literature would be inaugurated in the university within six months, adding that a building for the purpose was under construction.

Mr Siddiqui also hinted at reactivating the Sindh Science Society, saying he had talked to quarters concerned about the revival of the society.
