MARDAN: On the directives of the federal and provincial governments, a follow-up meeting of the district implementation committee was held here on Friday regarding deportation of foreigners residing illegally here.

The meeting was chaired by deputy commissioner Wasil Khan. The committee members, including DPO Najibur Rehman, ADCG Saeedullah Jan, ACs Ayesha Tahir and Mahin Hassan were in attendance.

The meeting was informed that all foreign families identified by the committee had voluntarily left the district.

The deputy commissioner directed the district and tehsil implementation committee members to investigate all the issues further to ensure transparency.
