LAHORE: All-rounder Imad Wasim’s eight-season stint with Karachi Kings came to an end on Wednesday when he was traded with Islamabad United’s Hasan Ali for the upcoming season of the Pakistan Super League.

Imad captained the Kings last season on the way to being named all-rounder of the year. He joins United in the Platinum Category with fast bowler Hasan moving to Kings in the Diamond Category. By virtue of the trade, the Kings have received United’s first round silver pick in exchange for their second round silver pick for the draft on Dec 13.

Quetta Gladiators have the first pick in the draft with the selection order for the first round of the platinum category being made in inverse order of last year’s standings.

The successful relegation requests from franchisees ahead of the draft include Lahore Qalandars Mirza Tahir Baig, Islamabad United’s Rumman Raees and Karachi Kings Mir Hamza (all Gold to Silver).
