Two rival groups end feud

DADU, Feb 18: A dispute between two rival groups was resolved in a jirga held at the circuit house here on Friday. Sindh Minister for Zakat and Ushr Mir Manzoor Panhwar was Amin.

MPA Ghulam Qadir Chandio, District Naib Nazim Syed Mohammad Shah, Sardar Basheer Solangi, Pir of Ranipur, Roshan Shah, Mehar Taluka Nazim Uned Ali Jatoi, DCO Aijaz Mangi, DPO Tipu Sultan, Mohammad Ali Solangi and Mirza Khan Chandio participated in jirga.

It was proved that six people of the Solangi side — Ramzan, Ghulam Mustafa, Ghulam Abbas, Khadim Hussain and Ghulam Qadir — were killed and two others were injured by Chandios.

Two people Ghulam Qadir Chandio and Nooruddin Chandio were killed and a man was injured by the Solangis.

The clash started in 1978 after kidnapping of two persons.

Mir Manzoor Panhwar (Jirga Amin) announced that both sides will pay each other Rs300,000 for each murder and Rs50,000 for every injured.
