LAHORE: PML-N President Shehbaz Sharif has called upon the nation to unite in observance of a Day of Solidarity for Palestine on Wednesday.

Directing the party workers to actively participate in the One-State Rally in Karachi, Mr Sharif emphasised the monumental significance of the event, symbolising Pakistan’s unwavering support for the Palestinian cause.

The United Nations globally observes a day of solidarity with Palestine on Nov 29.

“The party leaders and workers are urged to join the rally with unwavering enthusiasm,” said Mr Sharif.

Stressing the critical importance of national unity, he called for a collective expression against Israeli aggression and urged the entire nation to stand shoulder to shoulder in solidarity with the Palestinian people.

Highlighting the significance of collaboration with the global community, the former prime minister underscored the need to send a powerful message that “Pakistan stands firmly with the oppressed Palestinians. The call for unity echoes Pakistan’s commitment to championing the rights and justice for the people of Palestine on the international stage”.

A united rally, dedicated to the martyrs of Gaza and the resilient people of Palestine, is scheduled for Wednesday (today).
