KARACHI, Oct 16: The 50th death anniversary of the first prime minister of Pakistan, Shaheed-i-Millat Khan Liaquat Ali Khan, was observed on Tuesday with due reverence.

Quran Khawani and Fateha was arranged at the mazar of Liaquat Ali Khan located in the precincts of the mausoleum of the Father of the Nation, Quaid-i-Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah.

Quran Khawani was also held at the main mosque of Karachi University.

It was attended by Vice-Chancellor Prof Dr Zafar Saeed Saifi, senior faculty members as well as the staff and students of the university. The Auqaf department arranged Quran Khawani at Jamia Masjid Qasaban.—APP
