Niaz brothers strike

LAHORE, Feb 15: Bata Club, Lahore forced their way into the quarterfinals of 5th All-Punjab Mian Badaruddin memorial football tournament inflicting a 2-0 defeat on Walton Club, Lahore at the Iqbal Park Sports Complex on Wednesday.

Bata struck both their goals in the second session. International striker Zahid Niaz broke the ice ten minutes into second half while his younger brother Oman Niaz made it 2-0, 14 minutes later. Bata joined Raiders Club and Afshan Club in the last eight.

Thursday’s fixture: Lahore Grammar School and Pency FC (3.15pm)
