TAXILA: The Punjab Food Authority (PFA) in collaboration with the Punjab highway patrol (PHP) foiled an attempt to supply over 300 dead chickens in Hazro town of Attock on Thursday and arrested two suppliers.

On a tip-off about the supply of a large number of dead chicken meat to restaurants and hotels, PFA and PHP teams caught the supplier red-handed and seized the dead chickens during a successful raid at a farmhouse located on Tarbela Road near Kotkay village in the limits of Hazro police station.

Assistant director PFA Harmain Ali said that food safety teams had been informed that a poultry supplier named was going to supply dead chickens to hotels in Kamra, Hazro, Attock and various parts of KP.
