KHAAR (Bajaur Agency), Feb 14: A time-bomb exploded near a Khaasadar checkpost in Mamond tehsil near here on Tuesday. However, no casualty was reported.

The device was planted near the checkpost on the roadside, where some 10 Khasadars were present at the time of the incident.

The checkpost in the Umeri area, some 12 kilometres from the agency headquarter Khaar, suffered no damage in the explosion.

The political administration officials rushed to the spot with a huge contingent of Bajaur Levies and took the pieces of the bomb in their custody.

No one has claimed the responsibility of the explosion, however, the political administration termed it an act of terrorism.

Official sources said that the administration had initiated a campaign against the miscreants involved in such terrorist acts with the cooperation of the local elders.
