A small group of local and foreign journalists has been allowed to enter the north of Gaza along with the Israeli army for the first time since Oct 7, Al Jazeera reports.

“It is a scene of utter devastation and remains a highly active and dangerous battle. Building after building is scarred and blackened by the bombardment, the incessant tank fire and flares soaring across the sky,” described a reporter from Australian media ABC News.

Journalists have not been allowed to enter the besieged strip, leaving Palestinian journalists in Gaza as the sole source of information.
