PPP Senator Raza Rabbani has castigated caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani for his non-attendance at today’s Senate session to discuss the intense Israeli strikes and operations in Gaza.

“It is insulting for the people of Palestine … that not one minister is present here. For a fleeting second, the foreign minister came … and then disappeared again. If this government can go to this extent to appease the American government that not one person is present to listen to the senators or present the government’s own weak stance then it is my request … to adjourn the House for tomorrow, it is insulting.”

He called on the Senate chairman to mandate that the finance and foreign ministers be present throughout in Tuesday’s Senate session.
