MIRPURKHAS, Feb 12: Renovation work and lighting arrangements are in progress at the Mirpurkhas railway station to meet the requrements of the Khokhrapar-Monabao train service.

A monitoring room has been set up at the station to monitor movements of passengers. Four close-circuit cameras have been installed at different platforms.

According to reservation clerk Taj Mohammad, 40 seats have already been booked for the Thar Express train. He said the economy class fare was Rs145 and Rs180 with berth from Mirpurkhas to the zero point.

He said the Thar Express would arrive at the Mirpurkhas railway station from Karachi at 3:30am and would reach the zero point at 7am, from where it would proceed to Monabao.
