Israel’s National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir is going to put forward a vote on October 29 proposing to allow police to open fire on Palestinian protestors in Israel, Middle East Eye reports.
The report said the proposed legislation “will allow district commanders to give permission to open live fire during protests held by Palestinian citizens of Israel when the operational need will be of the highest value”.
It added that such permission would only be applicable to “emergencies” during the ongoing war.
