GUJRAT: Two Palestinian students of the Gujranwala Medical College were injured in a knife attack by some miscreants in Aroop police precincts of Gujranwala on Sunday.

Police said Khaldoon Alsheikh and Abdul Karim had forbidden the miscreants from harassing a female student of a private hostel.

Both Alsheikh and Karim were present in their apartment at the 4th floor of Platinum Tower when some miscreants attacked them.

The students who sustained multiple wounds of sharp-edged knives were rescued by some neighbours.

Rescue 1122 later shifted them to the Gujranwala District Headquarters Hospital where their condition was stable.

Police have registered a case against four nominated suspects, including Sufian, Rafay Butt, Hamza etc and their three unidentified accomplices under sections 324, 148 and 149 of Pakistan Penal Code on the report of an injured student and started investigation.

Police sources said that there were complaints of harassing female foreign students by some goons of the area who had been forbidden by the fellow foreign students from doing so upon which the suspects attacked the students.

Police said the suspects would be arrested soon.
