ISLAMABAD: Three sides from Punjab province displayed their prowess as they registered comfortable victories during the 67th National Hockey Championship here at the retired Lt Ishfaq Nadeem Ahmed Hockey Stadium Rawalpindi on Sunday.

Ahmed Raza scored a hat-trick as Punjab-A defeated Sindh-B 8-4. Saeed Babar, Yasser Hasim and Aamer Sahil also recorded a goal each for the victors.

Earlier, Punjab-B outclassed Balochistan-A as they secured a flawless 13-0 win. Hassan Shahbaz shone for the winners with four goals while team-mates Shah Jahan, Amjad Ali and Danish got one goal apiece.

Punjab Police were also among the winners after they downed Islamabad 4-1 with Tauseed, Rashid, Atif and Zahid Khan on target for the triumphing side. Adil netted the sole goal for Islamabad.

The last match of the day saw Navy beating Rangers 4-2.
