LAHORE: The Lahore Waste Management Company (LWMC) on Wednesday launched efforts to combat the adverse effects of smog in the city.

The company outlined an extensive strategy to combat smog including round-the-clock road washing operations.

The LWMC initiated scraping and washing procedures on a daily basis aiming to transform Gulberg Town into a dust-free zone to address the looming smog crisis.

In this regard, comprehensive inspections were conducted in various areas of the city to assess the effectiveness of cleanliness measures. LWMC officials visited Mini Market, Main Market, MM Alam Road and Noor Jahan Road.
