QUETTA: The driver of JUI-F leader Hafiz Hamdullah who was injured in a motorcycle bomb attack along with several others last month died on Tuesday at a private hospital in Karachi.

Mr Hamdullah was also injured in the explosion in the Pringabad area of Mastung.

His driver, Inayatullah, was critically wounded in the blast and was admitted to Civil Hospital Quetta for treatment.

While Mr Hamdullah was shifted to the Agha Khan Hospital in Karachi, the condition of Inayatullah deteriorated in the Quetta hospital. Later, Balochistan Caretaker Chief Minister Ali Mardan Domki ordered health officials also to shift Inayatullah to Karachi for treatment.

Meanwhile, in the Wadh city of Khuzdar district, two people were killed and two were injured in a crossfire between two armed groups of the Mengal tribe late on Tuesday.

The two groups have engaged in clashes for over a month, sitting in trenches with heavy weapons, including rocket launchers, mortars and machine guns.
