SUKKUR: Two persons were killed and 12 others injured in a head-on collision between a passenger coach and a tractor-driven trolley late Wednesday night near Deha bus stop in Sukkur.

The area police said that one person, whose identity could not be ascertained, had died on the spot and the injured people were taken to the Sukkur Civil Hospital, where cleaner of the coach, Janu Mengal, also succumbed to his injuries.

In a similar collision involving two passenger coaches, more than 20 people were injured at a section of the National Highway near Rohri during the night.

The area police said more than 20 injured people were taken to the Rohri Taluka Hospital, where doctors referred drivers of both coaches to the Sukkur Civil Hospital due to their critical condition.
