Ears, nose cutting: four court arrest

MIANWALI, Feb 7: Four people who had allegedly chopped off ears and nose of a prayer leader at Chak 3-MB two days back, courted arrest here on Tuesday.

Reports said Hafiz Ramzan of Chak 3-MB Jamia Masjid had allegedly committed sodomy with his pupil Muhammad Anwar. Later, Anwar’s father Muhammad Nawaz along with his three accomplices had beaten up Hafiz Ramzan and cut his nose and ears with a razor.

FLOUR SALE POINTS: DCO Zulfiqar Ali Toor told the press here on Tuesday that the district administration had decided to set up 37 sale points in the city to provide wheat flour at subsidized rates.

He said a 10kg bag would be sold for Rs100 from Feb 15. He said as many as 67,794 bags would be sold in a month.

DEATH AWARDED: Additional District and Sessions Judge Mazhar Husain Chaudhry on Tuesday awarded death sentence to one of the four brothers and life imprisonment to three others in a murder case.

Reports said Muhammad Tariq, M Aslam, M Mubarik and Muhammad Ramzan, sons of Ghulam Hasan, had shot dead Muhammad Amir over an old enmity at Harnoli Adda last year.
