750 shelters given to quake victims

ABBOTTABAD, Feb 6: At least 750 shelter homes were provided jointly by German NGO Humedica and the Lahore-based Pak Relief and Development Society, through local NGO Sawera, among quake survivors in Pattan and other union councils of Abbottabad district here on Monday.

Deputy Station Commander Col Munaf, who was the chief guest at the ceremony, said that all out efforts were being made to provide shelter to the homeless .

He said that corrugated galvanized iron sheets and other building material were being provided to the affected people. On this occasion chairman Sawera Dr Azhar Khan Jadoon said that 50 of the 750 shelter homes would be given to the minority communities.
