NAROWAL: Women medical technicians have been posted in Rescue 1122 ambulance service who will assist pregnant women in delivery cases.
Punjab Emergency Service Department Secretary Dr. Rizwan Naseer visited the Rescue 1122 Narowal district office and appointed women medical technicians in ambulance service keeping in mind the difficulties faced by women. The technicians will fulfil their professional responsibilities to ensure timely delivery of babies.
Dr. Rizwan Naseer also inaugurated motorcycle ambulance service to provide timely first aid to citizens in Narowal district. And 50 motorcycles have been provided to start the service in three tehsils of Narowal, Shakargarh and Zafarwal.
Dr Naseer inspected the professional skills of the rescuers, their fitness and equipment. He also got information about the problems faced by the duty staff in Rescue control room.
District Emergency Officer Naeem Akhtar gave a briefing to Dr Naseer on the rescue operation and the difficulties faced.
Dr Naseer also visited the under-construction Rescue 1122 building in Kartarpur to provide timely first aid to Sikh pilgrims and visitors from all over the world, including India. The building is being constructed on seven kanals, in which all modern facilities will be provided to deal with natural calamities and accidents.
