Rain likely across Sindh for three days

KARACHI: The Met department has forecast rain across the province with occasional gaps for three days, starting from Monday (today), as monsoon currents of moderate intensity are penetrating in eastern Sindh.

It said that under the influence of this weather system, dust-thunderstorms/rain of moderate intensity were expected in Karachi division on Monday evening and Sept 19-20.

A similar weather pattern is likely to prevail in Larkana, Dadu, Sukkur, Ghotki, Naushahro Feroze, Shaheed Benazirabad, Matiari, Hyderabad, Tando Mohammad Khan, Tando Allah Yar and Kambar Shahdadkot districts from Monday and Tuesday with occasional gaps.

“Dust-thunderstorm/rain with isolated heavy falls are likely to occur in Tharparkar, Umerkot, Mirpurkhas, Sanghar, Khairpur, Badin, Sujawal, Thatta and Jamshoro districts from Monday till Sept 20 with occasional gaps,” the Met department advisory stated.
