DERA MURAD JAMALI: Six people were killed and three others injured in an armed clash between tribesmen of Abro and Lehri tribes in Kachhi area on Tuesday.

Officials said that the armed men of the two tribes took positions against each other and started firing which continued for several hours, leaving six people dead from both sides

Kachhi Deputy Commissioner retired captain Jahandad Khan Mandokhail rushed to the area along with a heavy contingent of Levies Force and got trenches vacated from the armed men of the two tribes.

“The cause of the armed clash is stated to be a land dispute between the two tribes which caused a bloody clash which claimed six lives,” Levies Force officials said.

Information Minister Jan Achakzai, while confirming the clash, said that troops of Frontier Corps had been sent to the troubled area who had taken control of the area and they were helping the local administration in averting further clashes.
