LAHORE: A Lahore High Court division bench on Tuesday dismissed post-arrest bail petitions of PTI Punjab President Dr Yasmin Rashid and others in a case of attacking and burning Shadman police station during the May 9 riots.

A prosecutor told the bench that several new offences including mutiny had been added to the FIR. He said the investigation under the new charges had not been completed yet.

He said the bail petitions were not maintainable at this stage.

The bench comprising Justice Alia Neelum and Justice Asjad Javed Ghural dismissed the bail petitions.

The bench observed that the petitioners should approach the trial court for the bail first after the completion of the police investigation and later approach the high court in case they were denied the relief.
