LAHORE: At least 52 officers from across the country attended three audit training courses conducted by the Auditor General of Pakistan’s Performance Audit Wing (PAW).

These courses were ISSAI standards & guidelines, performance audit cycle-planning phase, and performance audit cycle-execution phase.

The ISSAI standards & guidelines course was aimed at familiarizing the participants to the concepts of ISSAI standards for the Supreme Audit Institutions (SAIs) across the globe.

Topics covered in the performance auditing cycle-planning phase included introduction of PSR & its components, template of PSR, risk assessment, preliminary audit objectives & scope and audit issues of potential significance.

A three-day course was designed to cover the main topics of performance audit cycle-execution phase, which included entry interview, assessment, evaluation and reporting on internal controls.
