KARACHI: City Council meets today

KARACHI, Feb 3: The City Council will meet on Saturday at the Council Secretariat to discuss matters pertaining to Sindh Local Government Ordinance-2001.

It includes approving procedure to appoint presiding officers under Section 42(5), monitoring of CDGK tiers as prescribed under Section 138(1), approving procedure to appoint council members, their number and number of watchdog committees.

The council, to be presided over by Naib Nazim Nasreen Jalil, will also discuss the sections which deal with committees on code of conduct, justice, sports and culture, district accounts and farm produce market.—PPI
