FAISALABAD, Feb 2: The master plan for the district’s uplift will be implemented in its true spirit following the recommendations of local industrialists and traders’ representatives.

This was stated by District Coordination Officer Azam Suleman Khan while speaking to the members of Faisalabad Chamber of Commerce and Industry (FCCI) here.

Mr Khan said the construction of ring road, shifting of industrial units from congested city localities, upgradation of parks and green belts, beautification of road network and other tasks would be completed in phases under the plan.

He asked the traders to send written proposals to local administration so that the same could be given priority in the policy making. He also assured the industrialists that local government would provide all out help to them.

He said a system of meetings with the industrialists and trade bodies’ representatives would be introduced soon so that the local administration and traders could exchange views regularly.

FCCI President Mian Muhammad Haneef, in his welcome address, highlighted the problems being faced by citizens, especially traders.

Former DCO Athar Hussain Khan also attended the meeting and informed the industrialists of the ongoing policies and programmes. —Correspondent
