TAXILA: The Punjab government will extend all resources to Cadet College Hassanabdal to shape its students into becoming global leaders in different fields.

This was stated by Punjab Governor Mohammad Balighur Rahman while presiding over the 101st Board of Governors meeting of Cadet College Hassanabdal on Sunday.

Other board members who participated in the meeting included Pakistan Ordnance Factories (POF) chief Lt Gen Ali Amir Rawan, Cadet College Hassanabdal Principal retired Brig Nasir Saeed Khattak, Mohammad Saeed Mahdi, Brig Dr Mohammad Khaleeq Al Rashid Kayani, Mossadeq Zul Qarnain, Lt Gen Najibullah Khan, Prof Dr Zafar Ali Chaudhry Lt Gen Nouman Zakaria, Amdadullah Bosal, Dr Chaudhry Faisal Mushtaq, Fatima Jinnah Women University Vice ChancellorDr Saima Hamid, Education Specialist Asia Khurram Agha, NUST Dean Dr Saima Siddiqui, Rawalpindi Commissioner Liaquat Ali Chattha, Punjab finance secretary and School Education Punjab secretary.

The Punjab governor said in order to understand the complexity of this global village, we need to prepare and encourage students to venture outside the national boundaries and not only take part in the cosmopolitan, interconnected world but also become global leaders who would one day help guide the world to a better tomorrow.

Speaking on the occasion, Principal retired Brig Nasir Saeed Khattak said the college management endeavoured to become the hallmark of admirable excellence in the array of cadet colleges through highly qualified and well-trained faculty as well as staff.

The annual budget was also approved in the meeting on the occasion and important issues related to the college were taken into consideration.
