UNITED MUSLIM FRONT

UNITED MUSLIM FRONT: The Arab League recently readmitted Syria after 11 years. To bring Muslim countries on a single platform, the Organisation of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), Arab League and other organisations should create a single entity, the League of Muslim Brother Countries. Through this platform, around 50 Muslim countries can make the world understand their grievances, and their long-standing internal disputes can also be resolved. Powerful countries in the West will never want to see the Muslims getting united. While one is able to see why the West wants us divided, it is beyond comprehension why the Muslim world itself is not moving towards practical unity in its ranks.

BARBARISM IN INDIA: Minorities in India and in India-occupied Jammu and Kashmir are once again under a string of attacks by the right-wing Hindu militants having the blessings of the administration. It is high time for Muslims across the world, and, indeed, the international community at large to raise their voice and blacklist India for killing, kidnapping and forcing its ethnic minorities to live in constant fear. People on both sides of the Line of Control wish to see stabilisation in the region and resolution of the Kashmir issue in line with the relevant United Nations resolution.

INTERNET BLACKOUT: Access to internet, information and freedom of expression are the basic rights of every citizen. But the government keeps shutting down such services on the basis of whim and fancy of a few. The internet provides a source of living to thousands of people. Riders, delivery boys and cab drivers, who are the breadwinners for their families and earn daily wages, are left in a miserable state due to internet blackouts. The government should work with cellular companies to single out individuals involved in hate speech and incitement instead of shutting down internet services nationwide.
