QUETTA: A man suffering from Crimean-Congo haemorrhagic fever virus died in Fatima Jinnah Chest Hospital here on Monday.

He was brought to the hospital from Chaman three days ago in critical condition.

Officials at hospital said Mansoor Ahmed suffering from Congo virus as his laboratory test had confirmed it. They said two more suspected patients of Congo virus were in the hospital.

“Samples of their blood were sent to the laboratory and we are waiting for their results,” a senior doctor said, adding that symptoms and condition of the patients show that they were also suffering from Congo fever.
