FLAWLESS SOURCE: As things stand today, social media and other tools, such as websites and search engines, have become a great source of information for researchers. Similarly, there are many risks involved in the process while browsing through these tools. For instance, there are ample chances that the researchers may encounter false information. Afterwards, they have to do efforts to fact-check the data. Books remain a reliable source for researchers. Senior academics should encourage the younger lot to opt for books rather than for social media platforms.

EDUCATION NEEDS: It was a great news for the people of Naseerabad division in Balochistan when the Lasbela University of Agriculture, Water and Marine Sciences had announced the decision to establish its campus in Dera Murad Jamali. It was even greater news when the campus was actually established and started functioning. As time has proven, however, the campus is not sufficient to cater to the increasing demand of higher education in the region. Many people have aired their views on different social media platforms to convert the campus into an independent university. There is a lot of merit in the suggestion, and the relevant authorities must give it the consideration it deserves.

TRAFFIC ISSUES: The roads in Karachi have hardly any zebra crossing. This has been a grave concern and a cause of many accidents in the city. Moreover, there also are no clear lane markings on the streets, and that causes a lot of difficulties to the drivers. The authorities need to devise a strategy to sort out such issues.

PENALISING CUSTOMERS: Some of the leading cellular companies have in the recent past doubled their charges on the various bundles and packages they offer to their respective customers. Is it considered fair business practice to penalise the customers so blatantly?
