7 killed in accident near Chakwal

CHAKWAL, Jan 27: Seven persons were killed and three injured in a collision between a coach and a rickshaw on Talagang-Rawalpindi Road here on Friday. The coach No 2709 was going to Karachi from Mansehra when it reached at village Mustafa Abad, 10 kilometre away from here it collided with a rickshaw coming from the opposite side killing all the seven passengers on board. Three passengers of the coach including its driver were also critically injured and was rushed to Tehsil Headquarters Hospital, Talagang.

The dead are identified as Wahid, Muzamil Hussain, Safeer Ahmed, Muhammad Irfan, Firdaus Begum, Bakht Bibi and rickshaw driver Mumtaz Hussain. All were the residents of village Naka Rehan. The injured are bus driver Munsif Khan, Khurshid son of Fazal Illahi, a resident of Bara Kahu, Islamabad. The name of one injured could not be ascertained so far.—APP
