KARACHI, Jan 27: Thanksgiving prayers were offered throughout the province to express happiness over the victory of Palestinian movement, Hamas, in the Palestinian parliamentary elections.

The MMA leaders and workers after offering Friday prayers distributed sweets among people and chanted slogans in favour of Islamic resistance movements throughout the world.

Rallies were also taken out in Karachi by MMA workers, JI and Islami Jamiat Talaba to celebrate the victory of Hamas and termed its victory as a good sign for Muslims of the world.

The MMA leaders while addressing the rallies said the success of Hamas in the Palestinian parliamentary elections was the failure of the US and Israel and the success of ideology of jihad. They said if fair polls were held in other Islamic states, people there too would vote only for religious forces.—PPI
