RAWALPINDI: The Civil Aviation Authority (CAA) on Thursday abolished the mandatory requirement of Covid-19 vaccine certificate for passengers travelling to and from the country.
According to a notification, the mandatory certificated requirement at the time of arrival as well as a negative PCR report before boarding or upon arrival at any airport has been abolished for all passengers.
Two per cent screening for Covid-19 of the passengers travelling from the UK, Gulf states and other countries has also been abolished. The decision was taken by the National Command and Operations Centre.
Meanwhile, a team of Saudi Arabia’s General Authority of Civil Aviation completed the security inspection at Pakistan’s airports.
According to a CAA spokesman, the Saudi aviation experts visited Sialkot International Airport where they concluded their second leg of inspection.
The team also reviewed ASF’s security measures, airlines, ground-handling agencies and cargo agents.
